Amrendra Kushwaha is a third-year medical student at Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital with a strong passion for health equity, research, and youth advocacy. He envisions a future where medicine is not only scientifically advanced but also accessible, inclusive, and driven by real-world needs.
A dedicated research enthusiast, Amrendra has contributed to academic projects on medical education and rural health systems. His growing interest in evidence-based practice and data-informed policy motivates him to pursue research that leads to meaningful change. He is particularly drawn to projects that explore how healthcare systems can be made more efficient, equitable, and innovative.
Amrendra’s fascination with the intersection of medicine and technology fuels his exploration of digital tools and artificial intelligence in healthcare. He is especially interested in how tech-driven solutions can enhance diagnostics, decision-making, and medical education. With a problem-solving mindset, he hopes to contribute to the responsible integration of technology into clinical practice.
Currently, Amrendra is developing a strong interest in cardiology and looks forward to specializing in this field. The heart’s complexity and central role in human physiology captivate him, and he is eager to explore both the research and clinical dimensions of cardiovascular medicine.
Beyond his academic pursuits, Amrendra has organized workshops on first aid, suturing, and stress management for medical students and interns. He has also led community health initiatives and educational programs, using his fluency in five languages to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Deeply curious, empathetic, and future-focused, Amrendra is committed to lifelong learning. While he values interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation, his passion ultimately lies in the clinical side of medicine—where he can apply knowledge directly to patient care and make a tangible difference in people’s lives.
